  2. Michael Jordan was born on February 7, 1963 in Brooklyn, New York. At the start of his life, MJ grew fond of basketball. While growing up in Wilmington, North Carolina, Michael grew fond of competition at an early age. After his high school career, Jordan attended the University of North Carolina in 1981. Early Life

The first year at UNC, Jordan the freshman quickly adapted to the college surroundings. • Averaging 17.7 points per game and 5 rebounds. • In 1982, Jordan won the NCAA National Championship on a game winning jump shot against Patrick Ewing and the Georgetown Hoyas. • Jordan stayed for a second year at UNC.   4. Michael Jordan declared for the NBA draft in 1984. • The draft was held at Madison Square Garden in New York. • Michael Jordan was selected third overall to the Chicago Bulls • Hakeem Olajuwon and Sam Bowie were selected one and two. NBA Draft

  5. Michael Jordan won rookie of the year and finished with 5 MVP awards. • Michael Jordan won 6 NBA Finals with the Bulls and all of them he was the MVP. • He played most of his career at Chicago but at the end he played for the wizards • MJ is known as the greatest player of all time. NBA
