Michael Jordan was born on February 7, 1963 in Brooklyn, New York. At the start of his life, MJ grew fond of basketball. While growing up in Wilmington, North Carolina, Michael grew fond of competition at an early age. After his high school career, Jordan attended the University of North Carolina in 1981. Early Life
The first year at UNC, Jordan the freshman quickly adapted to the college surroundings. • Averaging 17.7 points per game and 5 rebounds. • In 1982, Jordan won the NCAA National Championship on a game winning jump shot against Patrick Ewing and the Georgetown Hoyas. • Jordan stayed for a second year at UNC.
