The alumni meet aims to foster a sense of community among alumni, while supporting a sense of connectedness back to the institution feeling i.e. BHU. Alumni meet will help new professionals or visit with people they have met before, to establish or renew friendships and acquaintances.
Objectives of Alumni Meet
The LIS professionals can exchange information about their work, experiences and help each other with networking needs such as hiring, referrals for specific expertise, or looking for a new job. The young students can meet with alumni of the Department. This allows them to meet others who share the institutional connection and to start their academic career with a new social connections.
The specific objective of the alumni meet are:
· To act as a bridge between professionals for interaction on new developments in different areas of LIS education.
· To promote and foster interaction amongst the Alumni and the faculty members of the Department of Library & Information Science, Banaras Hindu University.
· To associate the Alumni in the developmental activities of the Department of Library & Information Science, Banaras Hindu University.
· To institute and organize scholarships and funds to help the needy and deserving students of Library & Information Science, BHU.
· To institute prizes and awards for outstanding project works, research papers or other professional activities by the teachers, alumni & the students of the Department and to suitably recognize outstanding social and community services rendered by them.
· To further strengthen the linkages between the LIS Faculty and the external world.
Nor again is there anyone who loves or pursues or desires to obtain pain of itself, because it is pain, but because occasionally circumstances occur in which toil and pain can procure him some great pleasure.
It gives us immense pleasure to continue everlasting ties with you. I hope you are faring well in your job and earning laurels for yourself as well as your parents/guardians and D.Y. Patil College of Engineering and Technology, Kolhapur i.e. your alma mater.
On 29th February 2020, we are organizing an Alumni Meet of the pass out students of DYPCET, Kolhapur. The meet will be organized in the College campus from 9.00 am to 2.00 pm followed by lunch at Hotel Sayaji, Kolhapur.
We are sure that you will certainly mark this day in your calendar to walk down the memory lanes and make it available to be with your adorable teachers, mentors and not the least, your bosom friends and colleagues.
You are our prized possession and valued ambassador and we crave for your continued association with us. You are an integral part of DYPCET fraternity, present achievements and future hopes.
