You have been practicing these skills in your English and Reading classes every year! • Every text you’ve read and every activity you’ve completed has been aligned with the skills on the FSA. • The FSA is a measure of your mastery of each of these skills. • Did you take advantage of each opportunity to practice and receive feedback? How can I prepare or study for the FSA?
You will receive an official score report by mail sometime this summer. • If you move or the address we have on file is incorrect, you may not receive your scores until the beginning of the school year. • Feel free to call or stop by the school office over the summer to check and see if your scores are in. When will I know my scores?
If you can’t demonstrate your mastery of these skills on the FSA this year, you will receive additional support next year in a reading class . • You will remain in a reading class until you achieve a passing score on the FSA, or a concordant score on the SAT or ACT • You will have several more chances to take the FSA in your Junior and Senior Year • You can also pay to take the SAT or ACT anytime to attempt a concordant score • *Fee waivers available! • *All Juniors in Hillsborough County Public High Schools take the SAT for free in April! What happens if I don’t achieve a passing score on the FSA?
