  2. The Physical description of the Honu • The honu is scaly, greenish, it’s also endangered because it gets trapped in fishermen nets, some are black, it has a flat body, it has a beak on it’s head, it has a short neck, it has short paddle like arms so it swims great

  3. Habitat • It lives in the pacific ocean, they spend in the deep pelagic water, they also live in lagoons, it matters where there eggs are laid .

  4. What is the honu is harmed by • It’s harmed by sharks, it’s harmed by humans to, crabs, also by small marine mammals, sometimes when they hatch they get eaten by seagulls.

  5. How was it important to Hawaiians • They used it for an ancient source of food, there shell was used for ornaments because of it’s symbol luck.

  6. Other cool facts • They can be 400 pounds, they can be 50 years old, they can be 4-feet long, the main predator is the tiger shark, there is a law to protect them.
