6. Portfolio & Culminating Project Portfolio (9th-12th grade) • Student will save some of his/her best works. Culminating Project (12th grade ) • Students will complete a proposal/letter of intent that must be approved prior to beginning the culminating project. • Students develop a project in which they apply their field of study learning to develop a product, event, or service. • Students will present their project and portfolio to a panel.

EWHS International Baccalaureate Program • Take Honors in 9th and 10th Grade, IB classes in 11th and 12th grades (Any EWHS student can take these classes) • A curriculum infused with "globalism" • A rigorous pre-university diploma designed to give admission/credit to prestigious universities • Designed for the highly motivated student seeking educational challenges • A sense of accomplishment in meeting the challenge of an international standard of excellence

20. College Admission Standards: Special things to know Not all colleges have the same admissions requirements. MATH WA State Coll. - minimum - 3 math credits (Alg. 1, Geom., Alg. 2) *** Senior year must take a math-based quantitative course (Pre-Calculus, Applied Quantitative Reasoning, Statistics, Chemistry, Physics or successful completion of math through Pre-Calculus) SCIENCE Science – 2 credits of laboratory science with one year of Biology, Chemistry or Physics (WWU requires Chemistry or Physics). Students interested in Engineering, need to take Physics! ART California colleges want the student to take one year of the same art class (Music, Drawing and painting, Clay 1 and 2, etc.).

25. Schedule Changes, Pass/No Pass, etc. • Choose courses carefully.Sections will be created and teachers assigned based on student requests on this form. Review your selections carefully now and do not request preference changes later. • Schedule changeswill be made for extreme academic purposes only.Honors /IB/AP Courses are a full-year commitment and the course(s) may NOT be dropped except under extreme circumstances. • Seniorsmay take up to two elective classes per semester for P/NC. A form must be submitted by the end of the 6th week of the semester.
