  2. The Qur’an is a book revealed to the prophet Muhammad peace be upon him.

  3. The Qur’an was revealed to him when he was 40 in the day of destiny (Laylatu-Al-Kadr).

  4. The first verses revealed to the prophet peace be upon him is “ Iqraa bism rabbiqa” from Surah Al Alaq

  5. The Qur’an is composed of 114 chapters. Each chapter is called a Surah.

  6. Each Surah is composed of a number of Ayahs ( verse).

  7. Every Surah starts with Al Basmalah (Bismilahe arah many ra heem.) In the name of Allah, the most Gracious most Merciful. Except Surah #9 “Attawbah”

  8. The Qur’an is a book of guidance for all the human being.

  9. The Qur’an is teaching us about Allah (SWT).

  10. The Qur’an is teaching us about previous prophets.

  11. The Qur’an teaches us how to please Allah (SWT).

  12. The Qur’an is a miraculous book.

  13. If you read one word from the Qur’an, you will get one Hasana. Each Hasana will be multiplied by 10.

  14. You have to read the Qur’an at least once a month.

  15. Some scholars state that you are supposed to have Wudu before holding the Qur’an.

  16. “Torah” was revealed to Musa (Moses), “Injil” was revealed to Isa (Jesus), “Zabur” (Psalms) was revealed to Daud (Davis) peace be upon them.
