Steps in Building a Configuration • SAP provides a ‘reference’ from which to start • Define global settings (country keys, currencies, display characteristics) • Create company characteristics • Create chart of accounts and assign to company • Create FI configuration • Configuration of all other modules (SD, MM, …)
Business Configuration (BC) Sets • We can configure from scratch or use a reference IMG configuration • We always use reference IMG • BC’s are obtained from SAP for many industry specific configurations
