Connected Church in Nepal: Beginning the Journey

Tik, a local pastor in Bardiya district, Nepal, is leading the charge to create a connected church network. With the support of Sagoal and other church leaders, Tik is equipping churches in his area to minister to all areas of people's lives through the Sangsangai initiative. This inspiring story highlights Tik's commitment to studying the Bible, training facilitators, and developing plans for churches to join the Sangsangai journey. Pray for his success in impacting neighboring churches and across the district.

  1. CONNECTED CHURCH Sagoal, Nepal

  2. BEGINNING THE JOURNEY June 2017

  3. Have you ever had your expectations exceeded?

  4. Tik serves as a local pastor in Bardiya district. There aren’t very many churches nearby and those that do exist are fairly small. In the past it has meant churches have often relied upon resources from others.

  5. Along with some of the district’s key church leaders Tik took part in an Integral Mission envisioning workshop, run by Sagoal.

  6. They took the time to consider what is possible when the church uses it’s God-given potential. Reflecting on Jesus’ ministry, and their own, they came to a realisation - their ministry was not yet complete!

  7. They’ve committed themselves to ministering to all areas of people’s lives and to running Sangsangai. To enable this, they’ve selected Tik to coordinate the process.

  8. In the second stage of Sangsangai he realised he was not really applying God’s words himself. So he has started studying the Bible at home with his family, and helping other members of church to do the same.

  9. ‘I could see we had the resources within us. We just needed to put a plan in place...’ Tik, Sangsangai Coordinator

  10. PRAYER • Please pray that Tik feels equipped and able to develop plans with all of the churches in his area who are joining the Sangsangai journey.

  11. PRAYER • Please pray for Tik as he trains church members as Sangsangai facilitators

  12. PRAYER • Please pray for a positive effect from his work in both neighboring churches and those across the district.

  13. PRAYER • Please pray for Tik’s work in his own church, especially as he shares with others how to conduct bible studies.
