How to Make a DVD • Create a working group • Hold a planning meeting • Identify audience • Outline scope of DVD • Brainstorm creative ways to present information • Draft copy of script and video shots • Internal review, external review, finalize script
Before any filming begins, • Script and detailed shot sheet must be finalized • Outside review • Everything done first in English, then translated into Spanish and reviewed again finally,
This DVD Project • Target audience – licensed pesticide applicators • pre-certification & agricultural handlers • Mocks a television station – Pesticide Broadcasting Network (PBN) • News, game shows, bloopers, investigative reports, commercials, shopping ads, etc. • 25 segments, most under 2 minutes • Each can be played individually or DVD video in its entirety • Goal –illustrate common exposure hazards and need for decontamination
