Main Idea This song quickly became the Vietnam anti-war anthem. It expresses a young man who comes up with all different ideas to try and dodge the draft.
Point of View or Bias Not many Americans supported U.S involvement in the Vietnam War, therefore protest songs became very popular as U.S involvement began to grow.
Inferences • After the war, another draft has not been held. • Woodstock 1969: 3 Days of Peace & Music. This is the sight of where many anti war songs were played.
