John and Jane: Hieverybody! John:We’re in Nasice – Croatia! Jane: Wearrivedduringthe weekend andnowthatwe’verested, a longweekofnewexperiencesandinterestingthingsawaitus!
1st day John:Onourfirstdaywevisitedtheschool, playedtraditional games outdoors anddidour oral presentationsaboutourselves, ourfamily, climateandhousing in ourown countries. Jane: Yes! Thatwasreallyinterestingandthe games weresomuchfun!
1st Day John: In theafternoonwealsodidinterestingthings! Jane:wevisitedthe local museumandchurchandwent to thelapovacLakeanddid outdoor activities. John:Theweatherwasgreatandithelpedusget to knowourcolleaguesbetter!
2nd Day John: Today was very nice: nice weather and nice visit to the eco-farm and Osijek! Jane: Yes, we visited the “Eagle Flyway”, picked strawberries, visited the farm and ate natural biologically grown food ...
2nd Day John: Osijek is the 4th largest city in Croatia and in Osijek we visited the Tvrđa Citadel Jane: which is the old city centre and the Co-Cathedral of St Peter and St Paul John: which is the tallest church in Croatia! Jane: And we even crossed the river Drava by boat, played in the water fountains and ate ice-cream!
3rd DAY John: Wednesdaywestayedatschoolanddid some workshops. I reallyenjoyedthem! Jane: Oh, yes! Theywerereallyfun! Thehardestonewaswriting in glagolitic script butthe dances, musicand ITC werefun! John: Notonlyfun!? Theywerealso hard work!
3rd Day John: Maybe… Anyways, wealsovistedtwootherschools:theCatering facilities of Isidor Kršnjavi Secondary SchoolandtheSecondarySchool. Jane: I thoughtthevocationalschoolwasawesome. They do somanybeautifulthingswithfood! It’slikeart … John: Yes, andthesecondaryschoolbuildingis quite differentfromourown… Jane: I reallyenjoyedtheevening! Wewent to theMusicschool. Thatwasfantastic! Wehadourprivatestringconcert!
4thDAY John: OnThursdaywewent to themountains. Itwasreallybeautiful! Jane: Yes, wevisitedthe Jankovac Nature Park. Wesawthefish in thelakes, thewater spring, waterfallsandsmall caves. Thewalk in theparkwiththeguidewasreally cool! John: Then, wehadlunchandvisited Orahovica townandlearnt a bit aboutthe old railroadand local history.

4th DAY Jane: In theeveningwewentback to schoolbecausethe host parents andschoolorganised a good-byeparty for allofus! John: Mmmm! Weweregiven a tastey treat: local cuisine at school … Jane: And a fashion show andmusic!
5th DAY John: OnFridayitwasourlastdayofthisincredibleweek! Jane: Wegottogetheratschool for thelast time… John: Weattended a closingcerimonyandtheCroatiancoordinatorgaveusour diplomas.
5th DAY Jane: Thechildren’schoirsang in allthedifferentlanguages! John: Studentspresented a show. Jane:Therewerephotos, speechesandlotsofhugsandkisses. John: Wedidourevaluationoftheweek…
Saturday – DepartureDay John: Ourlastday in Croatiaarrived … wesayourlastgoodbyes to thisbeautifultownandpeople. Jane: I knew I wasgoing to cry, so I didn’tputany make-up …
Saturday – DepartureDay John:Thankgodwe’re in the digital world! Jane: I couldn’tagreewithyou more! Somanyfriends, good times and memories…. Johnand Jane: Atleastwe can keep in touchthroughthe internet… it’snotgood-bye, it’sjustuntilnext time!
FINAL MESSAGE We want to thank everyone who made this project a reality and we will always value everything it gave us. We will always carry good memories in our future lives, and even though we “wrote” this story, we’re sure all our colleagues who participated in this project feel the same!
