  3. The QEI: • Is an easy-to-use, web-based PI34 management system • Electronically connects educators • Provides security and confidentiality • Supports educators throughout their careers • Connects educators with professional development resources • Integrates a range of materials and media

  5. Each section on the QEI has the DPI PDP Instructions available • View sample PDPs from DPI’s Educator Toolkit

  6. You can preview your text at anytime.

  7. Create your reflection and/or revision(s) • Instructions are available on all sections of the PDP • Samples from DPI are available on most sections of the QEI for teachers, administrators, and pupil service professionals.

  8. Your uploaded files and completed opportunities are displayed on the left side of your window. • Document the date when the activity was completed. • Include a completed professional development opportunity from your QEI file cabinet • Write a reflection • Upload a digital artifact

  9. Career Portfolio • The QEI Career Portfolio allows you to create folders with categories to store and share traditional educational portfolio documents and digital artifacts (resumes, educational philosophy papers, examples of lesson plans, pictures, video, etc…) – Need a place to store that electronic portfolio you created in college?

  10. Share your information • You can share your PDP, your profile, and/or your Career Portfolio with others online – Your mentor? Your supervisor? A prospective employer? Your IET or PDT members?

  12. Store and organize your professional development opportunities in up to 10 folders Name and edit folders • Use professional development opportunities from outside the QEI database in your PDP
