Origins of The Bayview School Family Literacy Day Hotline http://familyliteracy.edublogs.org Our school parent council asked me to set up a kind of "Speaker's Corner" in the school where children and families could record a message about their favorite books. I took it one step further and set up a free voicemail number at 705 540 7023 (a local number), which forwards an mp3 of the messages to my email.
