  1. Santiago Calatrava was born in 1951 in Valence. He studies l' art and l' structure with Escuela Técnica Superior de Arquitectura de Valence of 1969 to 1974 and in parallel l' engineering with l' ETH of Zurich and becomes science doctor and techniques in 1981.   5. 1989 ÷ 1994 Aéroport de Lyon-Satolas (rebaptisé Saint-Exupéry). An architecture which magnifie the structure and sublimates the movement: the hall of the station seems a gigantic bird ready to take its take-off and the station platforms are as a guard of honour of men greeting the passage of the TGV which cross the station to 300km/h in the space of a few seconds

Turning Torso : à Malmö Suède, 2001 ÷ 2005 Inspired by the human body, Tuning Torso, appears as a stacking of nine shifted cubes the ones compared to the others and thus creating an impression of dynamism and tension. This building includes/understands 54 stages divided between offices, residences, and spaces of meetings. Turning Torso gained in Cannes in 2005 the price MIPIM better residential building.
