HRSA’s Bright Futures for Women’s Health and Wellness (BFWHW) Goals: • improve the health status of women by increasing the use of preventive services; • influence women at all ages to seek preventive health services; • increase practitioner utilization of evidence-based preventive health guidelines; and • incorporate cultural and environmental considerations into health promotion activities and tools.

Bright Futures for Women’s Health and Wellness Maternal Wellness Tools Project Purpose Promote women’s emotional wellness by raising awareness of and providing interventions to reduce stressors associated with increased risk (e.g., relationship changes; sleep deprivation; weight gain) that typically occur during the prenatal, postnatal, and parenting period and are associated with adverse health outcomes. Target Audiences (Spanish or English Literacy) Consumers: women ages 14-44, from pregnancy to one year after pregnancy (perinatal) Community: individuals and organizations with whom perinatal women come into contact Healthcare Providers: physicians, nurses, counselors and others providing care to perinatal women
