  3. About the course • Seminar course covering contemporary topics in networking security • Content chosen mostly by students from list of papers provided by instructor (see handout) • Grading • Presentations in class • Electronic material provided to instructor • Attendance and participation

Homework for this class • Sign class list (Name and e-mail address) • Review attached paper list • Select a paper to cover from… • Host vulnerabilities and counter-measures • Note: I will cover the following two papers to kick the course off next Monday • Aleph One, “Smashing the Stack for Fun and Profit” • C. Cowan, et. al. “StackGuard: Automatic….”
