IwatchedT.Vyesterday. and Notice the difference between the following sentences: I was watchingT.V yesterday evening. BUT *We use Past Simple with its key word “yesterday” *We use Past Progressive with “yesterday evening”.
2- To express long actions in the past: Example: I was studying all night yesterday. **The usages of Past Progressive 1- Specific time in the past: Examples: Dad was sleeping at 9 o’clock yesterday evening. Mum was cooking at 5 o’clock yesterday. The Children were playing yesterday morning.
