GOD IS GOOD!An Attribute of God's Character • Ps:100:5: For the LORD is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations • Ps:135:3: Praise the LORD; for the LORD is good: sing praises unto his name; for it is pleasant. • Jer:33:11: The voice of joy, and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom, and the voice of the bride, the voice of them that shall say, Praise the LORD of hosts: for the LORD is good; for his mercy endureth for ever: and of them that shall bring the sacrifice of praise into the house of the LORD. For I will cause to return the captivity of the land, as at the first, saith the LORD

  11. GOD IS GOOD!An Attribute of God's Character • Nahum:1:7: The LORD is good, a strong hold in the day of trouble; and he knoweth them that trust in him • But, Isaiah says that God creates evil. • "I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things." 12. Did God create evil? • A better question is not how or whence evil comes but how shall I meet it. • When the problem of evil is addressed on this level, the Bible offers a full and satisfying solution to the problem of evil. All areas are addressed • Moral Evil's solution is found in the forgiving and sanctifying grace of God. • Natural Evils from without are solved by the believer when they: 1. Accepted as an educative opportunity 2. Meet them with faith in God’s Goodness • Ultimately all evil will be destroyed by Christ. (Rom. 8:19-22; Eph. 1:9-10; 1Jn.3:8; Rev. 21:1,4; 22:3)
