Washington sends about 11,000 troops across the East River to defend Brooklyn, setting up defenses along Brooklyn Heights, leaving Jamaica Pass open for attack. Washington learns that Howe plans to ship troops over to Brooklyn from Staten Island August 1776 Approx. a week before battle Isabel sees Curzon at the watering pump as an American soldier.
British send 22,000 troops ashore to Brooklyn The British execute a 3 way attack: near their landing, at Battle Pass, and around the rear of Battle Pass, surrounding the Americans.
