Webquest • In this assignment we covered how to use the internet to the best of our ability and doing it safely, plus how to figure out if the information your collecting from the site is correct or not • What I have learnt from this project includes • Question 1 – Who is the Author? • Question 2 – Is the Information Accurate? • Question 3 – Is there a Bias? • Question 4 – When was the Website made? • In each question we took key notes, got definitions for vocabulary words and wrote a paragraph answer for each task. • We also did a personal reflection of our work • I think I should receive a pretty good mark for this project since I spent a lot of time refining and checking over my work to make sure I did it to the best of my ability • Topics and technology tools I used while doing this project includes, internet media and literacy, internet safety, Microsoft office suite
Question 2: Is the Information Accurate? • You shouldn’t trust everything on the internet • If it doesn’t say where the information was found it could be just made up • Check a few sites before using the information • If it doesn’t state who wrote the site they might not want to be known • Trusted author’s often have more accurate information posted • Anybody can make a website • There are all different sites and the information you need may not be found on a child’s website Vocabulary: • Accurate – correct, plus has no flaws • References – an account of which the writer places to show where the information was found
Task 2: I would trust the “National Geographic” site because the national geographic is a trusted author, which many people use to provide them information about animals. Also at the bottom of the site it says “National Geographic”, won the Parent Choice Award, and it states that it was written by the “National Geographic”. Even though both of the sites are made for children to use, the one titled “Animal Reports”, was made by children. So because the site was made by children, I wouldn’t trust the facts on the site, this reason being they may have gotten wrong information from the internet. The children may not have gotten anyone to read over their site to see if the information was true. The children may not have investigated to see if the information is correct that they posted, for example seeing who the author is. So in the end I would trust the “National Geographic” site, for children to use for learning about animals, over the site the children made.
Web Quest Personal Reflection What did you learn from this assignment? I learnt from this assignment that you can’t trust everything that is posted on the internet and there are ways you can find out if it is true. The first way is to find out who the author is, the second way is to check if the information is correct, the third way is to see if the website is bias and the last way is to find out when the webpage was made. What do you think you did really well? I think I presented the data I found on the website well in the paragraphs. What was the most challenging part of the assignment? The most challenging part of the assignment was changing the definitions of the vocabulary words into my own words, this is because they were already in a very non-complex manner and were very easy to understand. What I want you to notice? I would like you to notice that I spent a lot of time reviewing my work trying to make it document the best of my ability.
Mansion • We created our version of a mansion using the program sketch-up and we covered how to create different objects and put them together and create a mansion, then we added downloaded visuals of interior to add to the house • What I learnt from this project includes • How to create 3D visuals of objects • How to use the program Google-sketch-up • How to use different multimedia tools • I think I should receive a pretty good mark for this project since I did a good layout of the home but considering the fact I wasn’t able to make all of the components in the yard and I had to download things • Topics and technology tools I used while doing this project includes, Google Sketch-up, multimedia tools
This is a picture of the front of the yard including the driveway and the house.
This is a side view of the house showing the deck and the pool.
This is a picture taken inside the suite which is located on the first floor of the house at the front.

Personal Reflection of Mansion Assignment 1) What did you like about the mansion assignment? I liked that we got to create our dream mansion on sketch-up which let's us make 3D models so it's clearer. 2) What did you not like about the mansion assignment? I thought the mansion assignment was hard in the way that we have never used it before and it is confusing at times. 3) What do you think is the best part? I think the best part was when we finished we were able to take screen shots of the mansion and see what you have created. 4) What do you think you can improve on? I could probably improve on making rooms and not just open, and tweak a few details of adding more components. 5) What I want you to notice? I would like you to notice that I spent a lot of time improving the layout so it is appealing to the eye.

Stop Motion Video – Drug Project • What I learnt from this project was how to make a video using just a regular camera, in these steps • I got together a background and characters for my story • Then I took the photos using miniscule movements, creating my video • Then I uploaded the photos onto “I Movie” and I put together the video choosing how long to show each clip • Now I know how to make a movie without having to videotape it • And at the same time I was learning facts about drugs and drug abuse • I think I should receive a decent mark for this project since I did everything by myself with no help, but knowing the fact I didn’t add any sound or voice to the video and I think I met most of the criteria for the project • The reason I wasn’t able to add any voice was because when we had the chance to use the recorder my group wasn’t cooperating with me and making it difficult for me to work, by yapping and complaining that I was doing the work even though they weren’t doing anything to contribute to the project • Topics and technology tools that I used while doing this project includes, healthy relationships, multimedia tools and substance misuse and prevention

Stop Motion: Peer Feedback Form: SimranSamra 1) Two things that I really enjoyed about your project is : that it was smooth and everything was nicely presented. 2) Something that I think you can change or improve on your project is : that they could have put some sound or voice in it. 3) Something that I learned from looking at your project is : that don't seek drugs because sooner or later someone is going to find out.
