Let’s Look At The Text:Sister Accuser! I Kings 19: 1 And Ahab (brother ) told Jezebel (chaste) all that Elijah had done, and withal how he had slain all the prophets with the sword.
Brother Abuser • I Kings 19:2a • Then Jezebel sent a messenger unto Elijah, saying, So let the gods do to me, and more also, if I make not thy life… (breathing…vitality)
Brother Abuser • I Kings 19:2b • As the life of one of them by to morrow (deferred, delayed) about this time.
Professor Hater • I Kings 19:3a • And when he SAW that, he arose, and went for his life, and came to Beersheba, (“well of a oath”; a pit) • (Note: he “saw” what he heard!!!)
Dr. Doubter • I Kings 19:3b • Which belongeth to Judah, and left (deposited) his servant there.
“Pastor” Pity • 1 Kings 19:4a • But he himself went a day’s journey into the wilderness, (in the sense of driving; a pasture)
“Pastor’ Pity • I Kings 19:4b and came and sat down under a juniper tree (broom):
“Pastor” Pity • I Kings 19:4c • And he requested for himself that he might die; and said. It is enough; (abundant)
Dr. Doubter • I Kings 19:4d • Now, O LORD, (self Existent or eternal) take away my life; for I am not better (good) than my fathers
I Kings 19:5 • And as he lay and slept (to be slack) under a juniper tree, behold then an angel touched him, and said unto him, Arise and eat.
I Kings 19:6a • And he Looked, and behold, there was a cake (bread) baken on the coals, and a cruse of • water (living water) at his head.
I Kings 19:6b • And he did eat and drink, and laid him down again.
I Kings 19:7a • And the angel of the LORD came again the second time, touched him, and said, Arise and eat;
I Kings 19:7b • Because the journey is too great for thee.
