  2. Admission Requirements • State schools – minimum GPA and ACT/SAT but what • Selective state schools & Private schools – middle 50% of incoming freshman class OR average GPA and ACT/SAT • End of Junior year GPA is used when applying to college • Other factors – course rigor

  3. Non-traditional Approach • Test optional schools – ACT/SAT scores not required for admission (www.fairtest.org) • Academic Common Market – Waives out-of-state tuition (www.sreb.org)

  4. Educational Investment • Value your choices • Look at best fit • Listen to each other • Be reasonable • Consider what truly matters • Will your choice give you the experience you desire • EVERY FAMILY WILL PAY SOMETHING

Upcoming Events • Senior Parent Night – Thurs Sept 5th @ 6:00pm • Educational Community Conference – Sat Oct 12th @ 8:30 am • Financial Aid Night – Tues Dec 10th @ 6:30 ____________________________________________________ Encourage your student to sign up for the college information sessions. The schedule is in Family Connection and they MUST sign up in Family Connection. Sessions are open to 10th through 12th grade students.
