  2. HCS Summer School- Middle and High School Summer 2014 = 113% increase in credits earned from 343 (summer 2013) to 733.

  3. Summer School Completers • 87% of students completed summer coursework

  4. Student Feedback After completing this course, do you feel prepared for the next level in this subject? Do you prefer an online credit recovery program (GradPoint) or a traditional summer school (face-to-face)? * 58% of the students who chose traditional were grades 6-8.

  5. 5 Elementary Schools Participated In Summer Learning • 5 Elementary Schools participated in one month of extended learning for the first time in HCS: • Lakewood – also home of the teacher learning lab • Rolling Hills • University Place • McDonnell • Dawson – SIG grant • For the month of June: average 36% participation rate • Data will be collected during the upcoming year to evaluate the impact of summer learning and identify next steps for future extended year opportunities.
