Cluster Book Working SessionIntroduction (2) • Objective of the Working Session is to agree: • Basic schedule and target audience addressed • General format, layout, printing, costs • Overall contents and structure • Foreword preparation • Cluster description • Articles to be included and review procedure • Style and contents of the project profiles • Resulting schedule and envisaged milestones

Basic Schedule & Target Audience • Finalisation of the CERP-IoT Cluster Book 2009: • End of 2009 • After CASAGRAS Conference in beginning of October, enabling to reflect an updated SRA • Presenting selected Book Articles at CASAGRAS Conference? • Distribution of the Cluster Book 2009 at the FIA Stockholm event? (23.-24.11.09)? only as pdf version • print of the book requires 3-4 months • short document of 30-40 pages could be printed in 3-4 weeks. • possibly a WIKI for preparing and publishing • Target Audience and how to reach them: • Research (i.e. including industrial Research) and Academia – EC Channels, Conferences

General Format, Layout, Printing, Costs • General Format: • A4, A5? • Hardcover? • Pages? – Currently around 160 pages • Electronic Version  yes • to be clarified with the publisher • Layout  responsibility to be clarified • Ian Smith volunteered to assist in the preparation of the layout  to be clarified about costs  Patrick Guillemin will clarify • Pictures available from projects? – If pictures available, please check IPR • Printing – EC offers to print the book, based on pdf (other formats possible?) – requires finalised layout • Costs to be clarified based on final decision of book printing • Layout? • Distribution?

Articles to be Included and Review Procedure (1) • CASAGRAS, GRIFS – Standardisation issues & challenges on RFID (for a future IoT?) • RACE Network RFID – Stimulating the Take-up of RFID in Europe • BRIDGE – Specific solutions for RFID and outlook towards a future IoT • CuteLoop – Challenges for Usage of Intelligent Networked Devices • INDISPUTABLE KEY – Usage of RFID in the Wood Products Industry and Contribution to Environmental Protection • SMART, TRASER – Usage of RFID in Tracking and Tracing - Lessons Learnt and Outlook towards IoT • STOP – Anti-counterfeiting in the Internet of Things • STOLPAN – NFC technology and its application scenarios in a future IoT • ASPIRE, HYDRA – Open source Middleware for networked embedded systems towards future Internet of Things • ETP EPoSS – Outlook on future IoT applications

Articles to be Included and Review Procedure (2) • The Articles shall be based on their findings/outcomes, while specifically outlining their view towards an Internet of Things. • Article template distributed • Chapter compiles all the individual articles • Review Procedure • Cluster internal review procedure • A request will be send to all of the Projects, enabling an article review by at least 2 reviewers.
