Why do ongoing evaluation? • Ex-ante and mid-term are OP wide • Have to cover all measures • And a wide range of issues • Doesn’t enable detailed analysis • Ongoing evaluation • Permits in-depth analysis • Of measures or themes • Problem areas can be explored
Ex-Ante and Mid-Term Links • A “bridge” between ex-ante and mid-term • Ex-Ante • Ongoing evaluations can revisit ex-ante issues • Pursue issues in light of implementation experience • Mid-Term • Ongoing evaluations act as inputs
