The Project • How the Project came about? • Aims and objectives: • Raise awareness • Increase understanding • Inform the work of local statutory agencies • Building social cohesion • Enabling young people’s to be heard • Providing opportunity for dialogue on neutral grounds for both parents and young people • Challenging stereo-types of the Sudanese communities

What I have done so far? • Data collection • Identify and recruiting young Sudanese and parents to the sessions • Questionnaire & flier • Informal and formal interviews • Outreach work
What I am hoping to achieve? • Coordinate sessions • Enabling young Sudanese young and older generation to influence and participate in the development of culturally sensitive, responsive and accessible local services in the future for those who ‘run away’ • Contribute to Community Partnership Project at a strategic and policy level. • To input into a final report.
