  4. Course Goals • Enhance 21st Century Skills • Develop Critical Thinking and Analytical Skills • Understand U.S. History • Not memorize U.S. History • Build Organizational Skills • Binder

Course Activities • Student Centered Learning • Simulations • Discussions • Cooperative Learning • Summative Assessments • Tests - designed to assess students understanding of content and skills • Projects - students creatively express knowledge of content • Formative Assessments • Homework- Designed to help students build on content discussed in class • Quizzes – designed to check for students understanding and allow for re-teaching of key skills if necessary

  6. Constitution Test • All 7th graders must pass the Constitution Test in order to pass 7th grade • Test will be taken approximately in November/December. • Extra study sessions will be offered to help students prepare
