Purpose • To engage the campus community in the results of recent faculty, staff, student and institutional climate assessments • Allow Participants to consider summarized and themed data and to generate specific, concrete recommendations for strategic actions which will improve the climate for diversity at Texas A&M University • To generate solutions and look forward

  3. What do we mean by campus climate? (HURTADO, 1998) • Looking at Historical legacies (exclusion OR inclusion) • Psychological Climate (perceptions, beliefs, attitudes) • Behavioral Climate (group interactions) • Structural Diversity (numerical and proportional representation)
