  2. Hypotheses • Process-oriented organization is better • Process description does not exists • In practice, process-oriented organization is an exception, rather than a rule • Changing to process-orientation concerns all • BPS system is a must for process-orientation

  3. Consequences • Currently, more often than not, the development and introduction of a BPS system is a part of more complex project of process-orientation of an enterprise • The BPSsystem is a tool for organizational change • Success depends on majority accepting the system

  4. Business process modeling • Modeling techniques and languages suitable for non-technicians? • Level of details? A minimum that is enough? Business process reingieneering • How much to reenginer? • Leave as it is? • Full reenginering?

  5. System development – cooping with constant changes • Modeling techniques? • Cooping with changes in order • Cooping with changes in responsibilities • Application development tools? • 4th GL? • WFMS?

  6. ROLE of Requirements Engineer • Create requirements and see that the system complies with them ? VS. • Help to introduce new way of working? • If introduction is not in RE responsibility, in whose then? • If it is in his/her responsibility what are requirements on Requirements Engineer?

  7. Is there anything special with Requirements Engineering for BPS? • Complexity of the project demands to follow the best theoretical and practical recommendations. Even with a good support system the project can fail. • Needs for practical methodologies and tools that gives practically reasonable answers to the presented above questions
