TROWEL GRADE Trowel Grade is a modified elastomeric asphalt emulsion specifically formulated product where a watertight seal is required. It is suitable for use with building fixtures, pipes, walls and roofs. Trowel Grade is a single component product that may be cold applied be applied by brush or squeegee. The technology employed in Trowel Grade provides a solvent-free, quick setting coating that yield a membrane with excellent strength, elasticity and adhesion. Being an environmentally friendly product Trowel Grade can be applied indoors and outdoors with no special protective equipment.
Performance * ONE COAT SYSTEM * MINIMAL SURFACE PREPARATION * ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY * NON-TOXIC * CONTAINS NO SOLVENTS * 100% ELONGATION * RESISTANT TO MOST INORGANIC SOLUTIONS * OZONE & UV RESISTANT * CAN WITHSTAND THERMAL CYCLING
Environmental Concerns & Work-safe Practices • Liquid Rubber products are state of the art with respect to today’s environmental concerns and work-safe practices. • The products consist of stable, non-toxic, ordor-less non-flammable liquid components which do not present a storage or transportation hazard prior to, during, or following application. • Fumes associated with hot kettles and propane torches are not involved in application, hence, Liquid Rubber is extremely user-friendly on-site and during application.

APPLICATION • Trowel Grade is water based, environmentally friendly alternative to conventional hot-applied or solvent based waterproofing systems. When cured, it will form a seamless flexible membrane. • Trowel Grade is applied using a trowel or squeegee. Since Trowel Grade cures by evaporation, an application temperature of 15-20°C is recommended. If time allows, apply in thin coats. The product fully cures within 24 hours at 20oC (70oF) and 50% relative humidity, when applied at a thickness of 40 mils (1 mm). Consult with your Liquid Rubber International representative for further details
APPLICATION • Trowel Grade should be applied to a dry surface which is free of dirt, debris, oil or grease. Application is not recommended if heavy rains are imminent, or in high humidity environments. • Trowel Grade is applied between 0.3-06 m2/litre (15-30 ft2/gal) to produce a 40-120 mil (1-3 mm) protective membrane. Typically, Trowel Grade dries to the touch in one minute @20°C. This curing time may vary depending on temperature and relative humidity.
LIMITATIONS • Trowel Grade is mildly alkaline. When applying this product observe normal safety precautions, wear gloves, eye protection and other suitable protective equipment. • For further information please consult the product MSDS. • Trowel Grade should not be applied when the ambient temperature is below 15°C. The uncured membrane may be damaged if frozen. Do not apply to wet surfaces or directly before a rain. Some surface base coat materials such as coal tar are unsuitable for use with Trowel Grade.
CAUTION • Industrial use only. Keep out of the reach of children. Avoid storage below 5°C. • Please consult the Material Safety Data Sheet before using Trowel Grade
Uses • Trowel Grade is used in conjunction with protective coatings to seal fixture, cracks, roof penetrations, pipe pass-through etc. to prevent water, air leaks and corrosion damage. The high viscosity of Trowel Grade allows it to be used to fill crevices or to coat vertical surfaces.
