EVALUATION DETAILS A total of 26 evaluations were turned in, 15 of which were filled out by managers and 11 of which were filled out by individual contributors or employees. A total of 28people attended the session. The first 4 questions asked participants to rate their knowledge before and after the session, on a scale from 1-5. Questions 5-8 were open-ended with room to write in responses.
I understand how to use different social media to connect with a variety of generations. Managers’ total improvement: 19% IC’s total improvement: 17% Based on 15 manager responses and 11 individual responses.
I understand the different utilization rates and interests of a variety of ethnic groups. Managers’ total improvement: 46% IC’s total improvement: 39% Based on 15 manager responses and 11 individual responses.

OPEN-ENDED ANSWERS • What was your most significant learning today? • Managers: • The terms like KLOUT • Leveraging social media throughout the employee life cycle and to increase employee engagement • BIG change coming in the workplace. We need to prepare to do things differently • It’s not going away; we need to use it effectively • Variety of uses of social media • All of it. References to studies and other media sources • Understanding social media trends • How much I really did not know!

OPEN-ENDED ANSWERS • How will you use one or more of the tools presented today? • Managers: • To do more in depth research on social media gurus • Knowledge sharing • Set up Twitter account for incoming students to address questions • Share with my team regarding how we use social media for recruiting • Look at better ways to connect with students • Many forms with our ERGs and diverse professional associations and groups for external candidates • Share with my team the different social media types • Share back tools with team members to create a plan to use more social media with the organization • I am going to take this book to the leadership and discuss what will be the best approach

There might be an opportunity with our external customers. • Use it for more input/interaction with our DRG groups • Integrating perspective • Be aware of communicating across generations
