Hardware & Software • Physical components attached to the computer (inside and outside). Input and Output devices. • Keyboard, mouse, speakers, monitor, printer, fax/sound cards, modems, RAM, microphone, hard drive, floppy drive, network cards, etc. • Software - applications and systems software. Instructions that the computer uses to control system resources or to complete tasks. DOS, Windows, Mac. Office family, Lotus, Netscape, Internet Explorer, Virus scans, tax programs, computer games.
