  1. The adventure begins in 2001, at our arrival to TOLE- BUEAA small village of the Southwest Province of Cameroon.

  2. One of the important activities of the villagers is the cultivation of teafor a local Company (TOLE TEA)

  3. After a census of the patients of the village we noted a big number of Malaria and Epileptic patients

  4. We decide to work for Epileptics patients, since there isno one taking care of them.

  5. To help us, we meet a team of Nurses Sisters (Soeurs Hospitalères) of Douala.

  6. Difficulties show up right from the start, because we don’t have any place for the consultation.

  7. Another major difficulty was to convince the population that the Epilepsy can be treated…

  8. Epilepsy is not of a mystical origin, as the popular belief wants it.

  9. With time, and with the first results, the reputation of the fight against the Epilepsy is established in the region

  10. It becomes imperative to get a place ofour own to begin consultations earlier.

  11. We got a land from Pius Awa Bishop of Buea Diocese

  12. The Carmelites’ Sisters of Sasse help us to find sponsors for the construction of the bridge.

  13. …And in 2004, the construction of the bridge begins. It’s a little bit difficult, because the land is steep, and a lot of embankment is necessary

  14. After the construction of the bridge, the small health centre baptized “THE GRACE” can begin.

  15. We won’t wait for the end of the construction touse the Centre.

  16. Today the construction of the Centre is almost finished. We are satisfied not onlyfor the construction, but also for the general results.

  17. We have about 200 patients, coming from various surrounding villages.

  18. A part of the epileptics, we receive some patients that present other illnesses

  19. Though at the beginning, care was completely free, we have now instituted a cash-box. Patients are invited to participate
