Runs into the woods and hides himself with leaves Covers his ears + neck using his gloved hands Develops a plan to travel only at night – sleeps during the day in a safe hiding place Tries to eat grass + leaves Eats ants Collects rainwater using a sponge and zip lock bag Drains the water from his boots and wrings out his socks to get water then drinks the rancid water Plans and moves towards the plateau because it’s a safe LZ Prays Resourcefulness/Creativity
Responds to the cockpit warning light • Ejects safely, parachutes to the ground • Has a survival kit + vest with supplies • Uses his radio to call for help • Uses radio intermittently because both sides can hear him & bad guys can find him + it saves the batteries • Uses his GPS to locate himself and navigate to the plateau • Sponge + zip lock bags to collect and store water • Uses smoke flares to mark his location for the Marines • Uses camouflage netting to hide himself & a thermo blanket to keep warm • Orange hat identifies him as a friendly Use of Survival Equipment and Technology
