  2. Cherry Blossom Prunus Serrulata (Nigra) The Japanese Cherry Blossom symbolizes the ephemeral cylce of life. This tree has played an important part in Japanese cultural tradition for many centuries and is associated with the clouds due the nature of their blooming. Cherry blossom is an omen of good fortune and also an emblem of love, affection and it represents spring. This Cherry Blossom with its deep purple leaves and twigs is a small tree with a beautiful, round and dense crown. The flowers contrast beautifullly against the purple leaaves.
