  2. Croke park This famous stadium was first built over a hundred years ago. It is the most important stadium for gaelic games in Ireland. The All Ireland Championship Final is held here every year in September.

  3. GAA WAS FOUNDED IN 1884 In 1884 7 men met in the Grand Hotel in Thurles, Co. Tipperary, to form the GAA, in order to promote and perserve gaelic games.

  4. HURLING HURLING IS SIMALER TO HOCKEY YOU USE A SMALL BALL CALLED A SLITHER AND A CURVED STICK. HURLING IS A ANCIENT GAME PLAYED BY THE CELTS!

  5. 125 YEARSGAA ARE CELEBRATING THE 125TH YEAR OF THE ASSOCIATION THIS YEAR (1884 - 2009)

  6. KERRY KERRY HAVE WON THE ALL IRELAND FOOTBALL CHAMPIONSHIP 37 TIMES. KERRY 1859 JERSEY

  7. DUBLIN DUBLIN HAVE WON THE ALL IRELAND FOOTBALL CHAMPIONSHIP 16 TIMES.

  8. CORK CORK HAVE WON THE ALL IRELAND 2 TIMES. IN 2009 THEY GOT BEATEN BY KERRY IN THE ALL IRELAND FINAL

  9. KILLKENNY KILLKENNY HAVE WON THE ALL IRELAND HURLING CHAMPIONSHIP 15 TIMES. THEY WON THIS YEAR MEANING THEY HAVE WON THE CHAMPIONSHIP 4 TIMES IN A ROW (2006, 2007, 2008 & 2009)

  10. ARMAGH ARMAGH HAVE WON THE ULSTER CHAMPIONSHIP 9 TIMES. THEY WON THE ALL IRELAND IN 2002. THIS WAS THE FIRST TIME THE ORCHARD COUNTY BROUGHT HOME THE SAM MAGUIRE IN 2002. 1977 JERSEY

  11. ARMAGH MINORS • ARMAGH MINORS WON THE ALL IRELAND,ULSTER LEAGE AND ULSTER CHAMPIONSHIP ALL IN 2009

  12. WEXFORD • WEXFORD HAS A VERY GOOD HURLING TEAM AND THEY BEAT DOWN IN THE ALL IRELAND SEMI FINAL 2008.

  13. WATERFORD • Waterford has a strong team they are 7 times all Ireland HURLING champs.

  14. MAYO MAYO’S MINORS PLAYED ARMAGH MINORS IN 2009 ALL IRELAND FINAL AND ARMAGH WON!
