The city is very urban and includes one of the top 10 zoos in the United States, restaurants, shops, outlets and malls. • Distance – around 2,228 miles from Columbus, Ohio to San Diego, California.

  3. Size • Total Enrollment: 64,077 • Physical size of campus: 1,700+ acres and 457 buildings.

  6. Expenses • Tuition, Room & Board: According to student’s major and areas of study.  Students should prepare for a 5-10% cost increase every year.

Financial Aid • Priority Deadline for Financial Aid and Special Scholarships = February 15, 2012 • Forms: Application for Special Scholarships and Previous Aid (for transfer students). • There are many institutional scholarships for incoming freshmen and enrolled students and scholarships from external donors. • Applicants must have a high-school diploma or a GED; be a U.S. citizen or eligible non-citizen.

  8. housing • Campus housing is available to first-year and upper-class students. • Types and Size: • Residence halls: two-person rooms and a limited number of singles, triples and quads. • Suites house three or four people and have a study room and bath, and some are in clusters of four suites. • All on-campus students are required to choose a meal plan: • Unlimited ($2650p/s); 45O-Block ($2175p/s); 60O-Block ($2550p/s); Traditional ($1850p/s).

Activities • Athletics: Football, baseball, basketball, X-C, fencing, golf, gymnastics, ice hokey, lacrosse, pistol, rifle soccer, spirit program, swimming & diving, tennis, track & field, volleyball, wrestling, field hockey, and rowing. • Marching Band and Athletic Band • Clubs: All clubs are created and run by the 4-H Youth Development program and are focused on agriculture, business, community, environment, family, garden, health and youth.
