  7. Parallel Technique • The film is placed in the mouth, behind the tooth or teeth in question. Parallel to the tooth or teeth. • The cone of the machine is placed perpendicular to the tooth and film.

  8. Bisecting Angle Technique • The animal must be positioned with the area of interest up. • Place the film under the tooth or teeth in question. • Place a wooden dowel parallel to the film.

  9. Place a wooden dowel parallel to the angle of the tooth root. • Place a 3rd dowel in such a way that it splits the angle of the 1st 2 dowels. That is, it bisects the angle made by the film and the tooth root.

  10. Place the tube head (cone) perpendicular to the angle of the 3rd dowel. • Removal all dowels and take your exposure.
