One event turns into a corporate initiative set up for the long-term. Launch of corporate initiative and seminar (Rome) Announced the opening of the Initiative to corporate support; presented the Exhibition and sent lecturers to an international seminar at FAO headquarters in Rome on the occasion of World Food Day German Sustainability Day 2011 (Düsseldorf) Expanded the network by exhibiting at the German Sustainability Day; networked with representatives from politics, business associations, civil society and research 16 – 21 October 2011 4 November 2011 4

German Sustainability Award 2012 (Düsseldorf) Award presented to UNEP Executive Director Achim Steiner; SAVE FOOD presented a cheque for a UNEP project in Kenya Memorandum of Understanding (Rome) Formalised the collaboration between FAO and Messe Düsseldorf; strengthened the Initiative and basis for continued close cooperation.
