environment • Chinas land is kind of like stair case with three big steps ‘’Some people say Chinas mountains are the roof of the world’’ it can even get up to one hundred degrees Fahrenheit. • There are two rivers running down pacific ocean(Yangtze and the Yellow river) and most • people live here where there is lots of water for them to drink and farm
What contributions have they made to present day • They still eat rice, wheat, tea, millet • They still ride in horse carriages and ox carts • They still worship gods
shelter • The pore people houses were just one room made rammed earth the roof made of thatch(made of grass stems clippings and debris) there was a fire pit in the middle of the floor. • The rich people houses were made of rammed earth all the way around it no windows just one door to keep the family safe. • In the very beginning of ancient china people lived in tents or some people found caves to live in. often caves were big and the tents were small.
school • They didn’t really go to school the children helped out with the family but however boys fathers saved them from the field and sent them to school. • Chinese people started a school system for boys only the boys worked very hard for the government test. • Whoever scored the highest got a job for the government.
religion • They worship all kinds of gods and a god who ruled all the other gods called Shang-Ti each family even worshipped there own ancestors • Chinas money was made out of paper • They used black stones for fuel. They used strange gun powder light spinning rockets skyward. The china people learn to weave silk at this time period. They new how to grow tea and spices.
transportation • Mainly used ox carts and horse carriages and wheel barrows • People of ancient china mainly moved on foot cause it was very poor. • The ox carts and horse carriages are about three thousand years ago.
Weapons • They used a saber and a quing (spear) those were there sabers. • There swords are called jion tai chi sword and the wudang and the drunken those are all swords. • Chinese fighting weapons were used about six thousand years ago and they were made of stone, jade , wood , bamboo, bronze, iron, and meteorite metal.
food • They eat rice, millet, and wheat. • Also peaches, pork, sheep, and, cattle • Potatoes, corn, peanuts, barley, fish, apples
