TOTAL VISITORS Over nine days, FLORIA has attracted 1,085,766 visitors.
INTERNATIONAL PARTICIPATION Participants came from 15 countries: UK, Canada, USA, New Zealand, Hong Kong, Japan, Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, Macao, Kenya, Pakistan, Indonesia, China and Singapore.
GARDEN EXHIBITION PARTICIPATION There were 61 garden lots that featured unique, beautiful, intriguing, creative and colourful garden designs. Participants came from government and non-government agencies, corporate agencies, private organisations, local growers/ societies and international garden designers.
PARTICIPATION OF GROWERS/ SOCIETIES 10 growers/ societies ranging from experts in roses, annuals, bonsai, hibiscus, high-land plants, herbal plants and coloured plants as well as The Orchid Society, The Heliconia Society and The Sculpture Artists from the National Art Gallery participated in the event.
WATER COLOUR AND PHOTOGRAPHY CONTESTS A total of 160 submissions were received in the Water Colour and Nature Photography contests that offer a grand prize of RM3000.
DAILY PROGRAM Approximately 240 activities were carried out during the event including flower arrangement contests and demonstrations, gardening workshops and seminars, awareness programs, cooking activities, school activities, entertainment programs and street performances.
ROSE EXHIBITION More than 10,000 rose bushes from 70 varieties and cultures were showcased in FLORIA Putrajaya 2011.
THERAPEUTIC GARDEN Three therapeutic gardens were set up for the event, garnering an encouraging response from the crowd. After touring the exhibitions, visitors get to pamper their tired feet and legs with affordable spa massages in these gardens.
GARDEN BAZAAR 50 sale lots featuring buyers, sellers, importers and exporters of flowers and decorative plants meet and greet each other here at FLORIA, where they can exchange opinions, share information and examine new and better ways to improve the landscaping and local flower industries.
ART GALLERY AND F&B 55 stalls sold arts and crafts products while 52 F&B shops provided a wide selection of food and drinks for visitors.
SPECIAL GUEST VISITS • There were 41 special guest visits which include VVIPs, VIPs, government agencies, schools and more. The event was graced with the presence of: • Prime Minister, YAB.
