acquiring shared experiences
developing shared language
surfacing background information
making efforts to put oneself in the other persons shoes
The purpose is to enable people to think from each others point of view. The essence of this type of activity is understanding.
10. Building a Shared Vision Strengthening Relationships by having activities that support people getting to know each other. It is easier to listen to a persons thinking when one has experienced that persons humanity. The essence of this type of activity is interpersonal communication.
