    5. Objection #1 - vv15-18 "yeah, faith was enough for Abraham, but that�s because he lived before the Mosaic Law was given. All of us now live after the Mosaic Law and therefore, unlike Abraham, we are responsible to follow it."

    8. Objection #1 - vv15-18 Paul's answer: v15 - compare to human contracts v17 - later modification violates the nature of a covenant v18 - adding obedience to promise also violates logic v16 - and in case you were wondering, Gentiles are included, too.

    9. Objection #1 - vv15-18 Conclusion: Paul silences any objection that would say that Abraham�s experience (justification and sanctification by faith alone) does not apply to this 1st century Gentile audience.

    15. Implications - vv25-29 vv25-27 We're not "sons-in-training." We're full sons of God & heirs of the promises of Abraham. vv28-29 So there's no such thing as a "spiritual elite" - all of us stand on equal footing before God!
