4. Formal two piece ensembles are okay – exception…no tuxedos on girls.
5. Do not WEAR! Too low in back
Front immodest
No tennis shoes
7. Do not WEAR! Low cut top area
Split too high
8. What to Wear???? Semi - formal to formal attire
Modest
Halter, strapless or one shoulder gowns
9. Modesty Appropriate to your figure - the right fit.
A size 8 will not fit into a size 2
Be careful about the hem, so you will not trip.
10. Modest No plunging necklines or backs of gowns
No two piece gowns --- bra type
If the gown is straight and has a slit (side, front or back), then mid thigh is the appropriate length of the slit.
11. Modesty Sheer fabric in the bodice of the
gown, must be approved.
* Proper foundation garments must be worn.
* Remember…you will be dancing – nothing too tight. Watch out for fabrics that “shift.” You want to be comfortable!!

According to MISD Student Code of Conduct, sponsors of extra/co-curricular activities, may at their discretion, establish grooming guidelines for activities that are more stringent (p. 5).
Please note that questionable dresses will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis and may be determined by school officials to be unacceptable.

If your date does not attend MHS, then you will need to pick up a “date approval form” from the front office.
Make sure you read and follow all instructions written on the form.
