Important Reminders • Prom starts at 6:00pm--you cannot arrive late or else you will not be allowed in! • With traffic, we estimate that the drive might take 30-45 minutes. You might have tolls if you’re taking the turnpike, so remember to bring money or invest in an EZ-Pass. • The Grand Marquis has limited valet parking so if you’re driving, leave extra early! Remember if you valet park, a tip for the driver at the end of the night is customary.
Important Reminders • You must bring photo ID, especially people who have dates who are not seniors or not from Piscataway! • Prom bids are $75! • Take photos beforehand because the venue has no lobby • But there will be photo booths, and a small space outside with waterfalls, fire pits, and flowers
Important Reminders • Don’t bring any drinks or drugs to prom! Don’t act up or cause a scene or else you will be suspended and maybe even arrested. • You can’t leave once you come in, make sure you have everything with you because you will not be allowed out for anything! • NO PARENTS OR FRIENDS OR FAMILY ARE ALLOWED TO COME AND TAKE PICTURES!!!! THEY WILL BE TOLD TO LEAVE IMMEDIATELY SO DON’T DO IT!!!!!!
May 31st Schedule • 11:53 – All students are released from school • 6:00 – Prom and cocktail hour begin at the Grand Marquis in their Dome Room • 7:00 – Students move into the Marquis room for dinner and dancing, salad is served as a first course • 8:00 – Dinner is served • 9:30 – Dessert is served • 10:00 - Prom King and Queen are announced • 11:00 – Prom is concluded and all students must leave
Menu • Cocktail hour: Buffet style/ passed hors d’oeuvres, signature mocktail • Dinner: Caesar salad and choice of Penne al la Vodka, Beef Short Ribs, or Chicken Margherita (grilled or roasted chicken breast topped with mozzarella, tomatoes, and basil) • Dessert: unlimited sundae bar, snow cone machine, and cotton candy machine
Amenities • Free wifi • 2 Photo booths • Two different bathrooms • Outside picture spot during cocktail hour
Purchasing Prom Bids • Tuesday, April 17th • Directly after school– report to Anthony Gym • Students will be taken by bid number
Purchasing Prom Bids Step 1 • Table Rosters and Bid Numbers • Pick up a table roster (12 people to a table) from either main office, off of Schoology or from the PHS website beginning Wednesday, March 28. • Identify the Lead Contact Person for your table (first person listed). This is the most organized person. • Fill it out and return it beginning on Monday, April 9th at 7am to Ms. Reale in the G wing/Ms. Fisher’s office in order to receive a bid number. First come first served, only ONE roster and bid number per table. TABLE ROSTERS MUST BE SUBMITTED NO LATER THAN MONDAY, APRIL 16TH.
Purchasing Prom Bids Step 2 • Make sure that everyone at your table has taken care of all outstanding fines. • Be sure that each person at your table has completed the contracts, underclassmen have received approval from their grade live vice-principal and out of school guests have completed the school recommendation signature on the contract. • Be sure to have the meal selection for every person at your table, especially out of school guests. • Be sure to have all of this paperwork and checks for each person/couple made out to Piscataway HS BEFORE April 17th.
Purchasing Prom Bids Step 3 • April 17th :Bid Sales • Report to Anthony Gym BY 2PM (do not be late; you will lose your spot in line). • The lead table contact must check in. • Tables will buy bids in order of their bid numbers, but bid numbers will NOT be honored if every person on the roster is NOT in attendance. • That day you will also choose at which table you would like to sit.
Step 3 continued • NO CASH!!!!! Make all checks/money orders payable to Piscataway High School. • Your entire group must be present to buy your prom bids [excluding underclassmen and guests]. • PROM FEES WILL NOT BE REIMBURSED FOR ANY REASON!!! • Please make sure you have the appropriate signatures when buying your bid. Prom contracts will be available on the high school website, on schoology and in either main office.
Step 3 continued • You MUST have: • All senior fines paid off • Table roster and Bid Number • Signed Prom Contract (if you are bringing an underclassman OR an out-of-district guest you must have HIS/HER signed contract (with parent and school administrator’s signature) slip as well) • CHECK OR MONEY ORDER for $75 per bid (NO cash accepted)
Date information • You may bring a student from another school as a date, but he/she must be between 14 and 20 years old. He/she must have a photo ID. • If you bring an underclassman, be sure that he/she has checked their eligibility with his/her grade level dean before you purchase the bid. Bids are NONREFUNDABLE. • If the person you are bringing to the prom changes, you must fill out a new table form and bring it to Ms. Reale. Make sure your date has completed a contract.
Prom Safety and Protocol • NO ALCOHOL will be allowed on the premises of the Grand Marquis. You will be arrested, suspended, or expelled in addition to the possible loss of privileges including walking at graduation if alcohol is found on your person or in your vehicle. • If the people at your table change after receiving your bid number and handing in your table list, you must fill out a new table form and replace the original form with Ms. Reale by no later than April 16th.
Attire Anybody wearing attire that is deemed inappropriate will be required to cover up.
