  4. Afternoon Agenda continued • Implementation Options • 1) Fall 2010 Pinnacle Suite (SIS, Gradebook, Parent Portal) • 2) Fall 2010 Pinnacle Gradebook and Parent Portal Only, Continue on existing SIS • 3) Continue on existing SIS for another year • Need to have confirmation by Feb 28th

  5. Critical System Requirements • Web-Based, accessible from anywhere with a simple web browser. This should use .Net and SQL Server technologies. • Currently uses Silverlight, but this is being phased out • Having issues with Firefox that are being repaired as reported. • Internet Explorer yields best functionality. • Centralized, hosted. The system should be hosted on a county-wide or region-wide server.

  6. Critical System Requirements • Countywide/Regional comprehensive. Allows for students from several or all districts in the county to be loaded on the system with student data accessible to all entities that provide education to a child. These entities include: • Special Education (Vision Committee looking at other products) • Career/Technical Education • Dual enrollment within a district • Transfer of records

  7. Critical System Requirements • Complete. The system should have all of the basic SIS functionality expected • Accessible. The system should be easily accessible to import and export data from, integrate with other “Best of Breed” systems, and allow for easy custom report creation by end users.

  8. Critical System Requirements • Extensible • MiCase developing State Reporting • Custom data fields and tabs • Strong voice in feature development • Data Conversion, Implementation, Training, and Support can be provided by MiCase staff • Consortium Pricing

  9. Demonstration Login • Test.sis.mi-case.org • User: testuser • Password: MiC@seTest • Please keep this login confidential as it is test data that is scrambled based on real district info • Important to test speed from your district • Minimum workstation settings for best performance
