Sample Conclusion Paragraph Loyalty is shown to be the most important thematic concept in Book I because of the dedication of Defarge, Lucie, and Lorry towards Dr. Manette. Through the extreme concern Defarge displays towards Dr. Manette, the deep love Lucie has for her father, and the selfless attempt Lorry makes to recall Dr. Manette to life, Dickens shows the importance of loyalty in the novel.
