Changing Times • DOGM is experiencing increasing environmental pressure from government (all levels – local, state, and federal), general public, and NGOs relating to air, water, sensitive species protection • More and more people want more and more factual information – DOGM would like to be considered a credible source of such information • DOGM works to achieve balance between supporting responsible development of resources and protecting public values and interests

  7. The Top Issues for DOGM • Hydraulic fracturing – primarily affects O&G Program • Decisions by USFWS concerning the potential listing of sage grouse and other sensitive species • Air quality in the Uintah Basin
