A Funny Thing Happened on … • Dizzy spells for 4 days, got appt. in 2 more days • Passed on Midland Hospital ER; drove to Ann Arbor • I had a loose lead on my pacemaker • Urgency without panic • Choices: Pacer, blood thinner, antibiotics, allergies • Terre Haute story; hospital PCs were on Win XP ? • 5 hrs later I was in surgery for 2 hrs • Left hospital after 28 hrs • 6 wks downtime, pacer set to ‘auto pilot’ • 15 purple hearts, 23 deployment ribbons
