INDIAN DIET:Religion vs. Science • Indian thali (dish) consists mostly of milk, tea, fruits, vegetables, variety of spices, bread and rice • Hinduism prohibits consumption of any animal • In Jainism, aside from animals, they are also not allowed to consume root crops (potato, onion, etc.)
